Situated in the centre of Brunel's Railway Village and a short walk from Swindon station and the town centre, the Gluepot's corner shop appearance belies the drinking treasures to be found within. The pub gets its name from the railway coachbuilders who would bring their gluepots with them when they took their breaks and would place their pots on the central stove to keep them hot; unfortunately, health and safety has put paid to the stove.
The Gluepot is unashamedly a real old-fashioned pub with old-fashioned values. Why not call in and see us for a warm welcome and a cracking pint.
"Whatever you do, do not ask for a sampler of the beers in this pub! An impressive 8 real ales on tap in a pub in Swindon's historic Railway Village. A right old boozer of a pub with partitioned seating with a pretty varied crowd, 2 of the 3 kids near me were drinking the real ale so a big thumbs up for that. Pretty much an automatic entry for the Good Beer Guide."
"Cracking little pub, decent selection of beers. Been frequenting the place off and on for a year working in Swindon, and it's the best pub I found. Well worth a visit!"
