As a result of the Chancellor’s announcement during the Pre-Budget report, from Monday 1st December 2008, we will be implementing some price changes. With effect from this date, the rate of VAT will decrease from 17.5% to 15%. However, on the same day, we are forced to introduce a price increase on all beers because of a duty increase on alcohol that comes into effect on this day. Needless to say, this increase is not something we would have implemented from choice.
